According to the police, an offence has been filed against four hospital personnel in Navi Mumbai for allegedly beating a female contract worker there.

According to an official, “the police on August 25 filed a case for the incident that happened in March at a hospital in Nerul under sections 354 (assault or use of criminal force against a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 506 (criminal intimidation), and other pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Codex.

“On March 25, one of the accused, a supervisor, allegedly dragged the complainant by her uniform and carried her down the stairs while accusing her of disobeying his commands”, according to the complaint.

The official claimed that the three other suspects who were on the scene allegedly intimidated the woman.

He claimed that more investigations are ongoing and that no arrests have been made by the police in this instance.

An official reported that earlier in the day, police detained a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old child in a mall lavatory in Vashi, Navi Mumbai.

The event happened on Sunday night when the child and his companions went to the mall, according to him.

The youngster was taken to a lavatory on the ground floor of the mall by the 25-year-old accused, an auto-rickshaw driver, who then sexually assaulted him, according to inspector Sanjay Nale of the Vashi police station.

Later, the youngster was successful in escaping, and he told his parents about it.

According to him, “the accused was arrested in accordance with the pertinent POCSO Act requirements”.

The official claimed that after his family complained to the police, the accused was taken into custody.

An official reported on Monday that the Navi Mumbai police had filed a complaint against a guy for allegedly repeatedly raping a 14-year-old girl, which led to her becoming pregnant.

According to the police,” the victim, a resident of Turbhe, and the accused, both of Kamothe in Navi Mumbai, connected on the social media site Instagram in January 2021 and began an illicit relationship”.

An officer from Kamothe police station claimed that the girl was frequently raped by the accused at his home and that, as a result, she became pregnant in May 2023.

He claimed that even though the man’s mother was aware of everything, she made no protests about the offence.

“The police registered a case against the man and his mother on Sunday in accordance with pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act in response to a complaint made by the victim,” the official said.
