CM Eknath Shinde announced 1.5 lakh GOVT job will be available by end of December

On Saturday, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde asked the Central government and the NITI Aayog to create a tailored economic and development strategy for Maharashtra. The state government is dedicated to the welfare of farmers, women, and youth because these are the cornerstones of a strong nation.

As a result, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde promised at the Niti Aayog conference on Saturday that by the end of December, the state will have roughly 1.5 lakh government jobs available. In the discussion, Shinde also pressed for financial support from the Centre to help shift water from Konkan’s wasteland to Marathwada’s drought-stricken regions.

The NITI Aayog Governing Council had its eighth meeting in Delhi under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shinde gave Modi an explanation of the significant decisions the government had made and the programmes it had put in place over the previous few months in order to explain the role of the state in this meeting.

He said, “While Maharashtra has made rapid progress, a leader is never satisfied as there is always room to achieve more. In this endeavour, I would like to request the Government of India and NITI Aayog to evolve a customized strategy for Maharashtra and like-wise for other states so that each state complements and contributes to the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp of our beloved Prime Minister Shri. Modi ji.”

According to Shinde, the state is dedicated to assisting in the realisation of the Vision of Vikasit Bharat by 2047 and has matched its vision and mission with the national goal.

Shinde listed the many measures the Maharashtra government has undertaken for the industrial and MSME sectors, as well as for farmers, women, and youth. He also added that his government has promised to hire young people from the state for more than 1.5 lakh government positions by December 2023.

For Farmers

The “Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana” has been introduced to provide an additional INR 1 crore 1.5 lakh for the farmers.

Farmers can also get insurance protection through the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Yojana for just one rupee. Shinde also disclosed during the meeting that the Chief Minister Solar Agriculture Vahini Yojana 2.0 has begun, and 15 lakh farmers will profit from it over the course of the next three years.

For Women

The state’s government has made significant progress towards empowering women as well. It has been decided to provide cash subsidies in phases under the “Lek Ladki” programme when a girl child is born in an economically disadvantaged family and until she turns 18 years old. Shinde also mentioned at the meeting that women now receive a 50% ticket price discount on State Transport Corporation buses and a 1% stamp duty discount on property held by women.

The plug-and-play manufacturing strategy that the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has adopted enables investors and business owners to launch their ventures with little initial outlay. The model, which is being tested out in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Nagpur, and Pune, was created to address the obstacles that the manufacturing sector experiences.

Shinde also disclosed that the Maharashtra Maritime Development Policy 2023 would shortly be made public by the state. He stated that the goal of the policy was to enhance passenger mobility and water transport in Mumbai and the Konkan region of Maharashtra.

The state’s infrastructure has been strengthened, and this has been highlighted. The construction of the Mumbai Metro Crashed and Bullet Train was put on hold during the Maha Vikas Aghdi administration. However, the government has lifted the ban and taken away the obstacles to the development of all infrastructure projects.
