The WR announced a 14-hour block, due to re-girdering work on the bridge number 46 which is between Jogeshwari and Goregaon station.
As well as the harbour lines late from their scheduled time.
The timing of the 14 hours block has been decided from 00.00 hrs to 14.00 hrs from may 20 to may 21, 2023. Also, there will be delays in some suburban trains and express trains over Western Railway (WR)’s Mumbai division.
Rescheduled routes and changed halts
Due to the block hours, all of the WR up and down local services will change their routes to the fast lines present between Andheri and Goregaon, which as a result, no halt will be available at the Ram mandir because of the unavailability of the platforms present.
The Harbour line service that depart at the main railway station, will be able to run until Bandra in the 14 hours of the block-time.
There will be some trains which will get slow service during the block hour. The Churchgate to Borivali service will be shortened and reversed from the Andheri station. Also, the local train CSMT-Goregaon departing from the CSMT at 1.52 pm will not be rescheduled and will remain cancelled. Also, the Goregaon-CSMT local which is scheduled to depart from Goregaon at 12:53 noon on June 4 will also be cancelled.
There will be no Bandra-Goregaon harbour line service
The Up and down harbour line service which is available between the station of bandra and goregaon will not be accessed by passengers throughout the block period.
Mail/Express trains are expected to get delayed
The Up and Down Mail/Express trains are expected to experience delay of 10-15 minutes during the hours of block. Also there will be no train available at Ram Mandir station in both directions throughout the 14 hour block.
The WR spokesperson said that therefore people are advised to know the regular detailed information available with the stationmaster between the block hours and reschedule their journeys accordingly for block hours.
