According to authorities, a 28-year-old fashion designer from Delhi accused her businessman partner of raping her while she was staying at his place of residence in Mumbai.
According to police, the woman filed a complaint in the Mumbai neighbourhood of Khar the previous evening.
According to the woman’s accusation, she had travelled to Mumbai for the very first time and slept at the residence of a businessman’s companion in Khar.
He added that a case of rape, sexual harassment, assault, or use of criminal force against a woman with intent to disrobe, voluntarily causing hurt, and using a word, gesture, or act intended to insult a woman’s modesty had been filed against the accused under the Indian Penal Code based on her complaint.
“The man was charged with rape under Indian Penal Code sections 376 (rape), 354 (A) (sexual harassment), 354 (B) (attack or use of criminal force on a woman with purpose to disrobe), 323 (voluntarily causing harm), and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to offend a lady’s modesty). The businessman, who is on the run, is being sought by police. The victim’s identity has not been released in order to safeguard her privacy”, in accordance with Supreme Court orders on sexual assault cases.
