On Saturday, five users of the popular social networking platform ‘X’ were reportedly caught for posting shots from Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Jawan on the platform.
The chief financial officer of Red Chillies Entertainment and the person filing the complaint, Pradeep Nimani, apparently informed the police that some ‘X’ profiles on social media were sharing clips from movies that had become quite viral.
According to a news source, a theft case was made under the Information Technology Act on August 10 at the Mumbai Santacruz police station.
After Red Chillies Entertainment’s chief financial officer Pradeep Nimani complained about the scenario, the appropriate action was taken.
Additionally, he disclosed to the police that no electronic devices were allowed to be used on the filming sets by any cast or crew under any circumstances.
Despite this, someone has stolen the movie’s clips and posting them on social media platforms without the company’s consent, as reported by Nimani.
According to a Santacruz police officer, the company had even already petitioned the High Court of Delhi to order the removal of all of the clips from the social media platform. The court then ordered the social media company to take down those particular posts as well as identify the users behind the user profiles that shared it.
“They filed a FIR under section 379 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act on the basis of the details about the aforementioned accounts that had been given by X”the officer stated.
The FIR claims the clip from the upcoming film was stolen, posted on Twitter without permission, and went against copyright. Five Twitter accounts that were identified as the source of the film’s clip distribution apparently received legal notices. However, only one of them acknowledged getting it.
Aj@unknwnsrkian, Ghulammustaafk007@Ghulamn76512733, Niteshnaveen@NiteshnaveenAus, Arhaan@Arhaan05, and Whysoseriousl@surrealzack are the ‘X’ usernames that shared the movie’s clips.
These five ‘X’ users are accused by Red Chillies Entertainment of posting the video before the movie’s premiere and affecting the production company.
In addition to ruining the movie, the complainant claimed that the accused allegedly broke the copyright law.
Following the huge success of “Pathaan,” everyone was now concentrating on Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action movie, “Jawan.” However, after finding that numerous movie excerpts had been shared online, Jawan’s makers received concerning news.
However, it is not the first instance that Jawan’s clips have been leaked; Atlee’s directing clips were circulated online twice before. Atlee Kumar’s action-thriller Jawan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, is a strongly awaited film. Under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, Gauri Khan, SRK’s wife, and Gaurav Gupta are co-producing the movie Jawan.
