Man Arrested for Alleged Rape of 15-Year-Old Girl, Investigation into Lodge Owner Underway

A14-year-old mentally challenged raped in a moving taxi

Police have taken a 24-year-old man into custody after finding that he allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl.

On Tuesday night, the victim’s father went to the police and reported the whole thing. He stated that Dindayal Laksman Prasad Choudhary, the accused person, was an employee at his mobile store in Chembur. As stated by the victim’s father, “Dindayal has worked at his mobile business for several years, and knowing everything he did, no one would have thought he could act like this under the scenes”.

Manipulated her into being in a relationship

According to the police, the person who committed the crime drove the girl to a nearby lodge in Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, and afterwards sexually assaulted her. Dindayal initially approached the young girl in an extremely kind manner, according to the authorities.

Over time, the accuser would visit the young girl’s residence attempting to convince her to engage in a relationship with him claiming that he “loves” her when the father of the victim had to leave his store and home due to work.

According to the child’s confession to the police, Dindayal visited the girl on April 14 while she was home alone, claimed that he was attached to her, kissed her, and afterwards inappropriately grabbed her.

“He convinced her into having a sexual relationship under the false pretence of love. The victim told the accuser not to touch her in the wrong way, but the accused had sex with her anyhow”, a police official said.

Report filed against Lodge’s owner

The victim’s father learned that Dindayal had reportedly taken his minor daughter to a lodge in Sanpada and then repeatedly assaulted her.

The owner of the business of the lodge in Sanpada is now being questioned because she allowed a child to check in without her parents’ or guardians’ permission.

Either the lodge owner/manager neglected to confirm how old she is by looking up her PAN card or even her Aadhar card, or he (the accused) may have shown a modified copy of the Aadhar card, which is more usual. To confirm the information, officials are inquiring about the lodge owner.

“They will be held for breaking rules if it turns out they didn’t verify the age of the child before letting her inside”, an official said.

The culprit is taken into custody, and the lodge’s manager is interrogated.

The official added, “Dindayal has been charged with violating the Indian Penal Code’s sections 376 (rape) and 376 (2) (n) (commits repeated rape on the same lady), as well as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act’s sections 4 (penetrative sexual assault) and 12 (sexual harassment).”

For five days, the accuser was sent by the court in police custody. On Tuesday night, the suspect was taken into custody by the police on rape-related charges.
