Today, five Vande Bharat trains, including one that runs between Goa and Mumbai, were launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The first Vande Bharat Express in Goa runs between Madgaon (Goa) and Mumbai. It will take around seven and a half hours to get from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Goa’s Madgaon station, cutting down on travel time by nearly an hour compared to the two cities’ present fastest train.
Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express operates three times a week during monsoon season due to speed restrictions on Konkan route. The train will run from Madgaon to Mumbai on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and from Mumbai to Goa on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
At Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, and Thivim, the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat train will make stops.
A Vande Bharat will cost Rs 1,970 while an executive chair car costs Rs 3,535 to travel from Goa to Mumbai.
The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Madgaon 22229 Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat train will leave Mumbai at 5:25 am and arrive at Madgaon at 2:30 pm.
Except on Friday, the 22229/22230 Mumbai-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express runs six days a week.
At 05.25 hours, 22229 will depart from CSMT Mumbai and arrive at Madgaon at 13.10 hrs.
At 14.40 hours, the 22230 departs from Madgaon and arrives at CSMT Mumbai at 22.25 hours.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 05.25 hrs, 22229 will depart from CSMT Mumbai and arrive in Madgaon at 15.30 hrs.
Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 12.20 a.m., the 22230 depart from Madgaon and arrives in CSMT Mumbai at 22.25 a.m.
From Mumbai to Madgaon, the Express will stop in Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, and Thivim.
From Madgaon to CSMT Mumbai, the fare on the Vande Bharat Express would cost 1970 rupees, which includes INR 530 for food. From Madgaon to CSMT, the trip in the executive chair car will cost INR 3535, which includes INR 613 for food.
From CSMT Mumbai to Madgaon, the fare for an AC Chair Car on the Vande Bharat Express would cost INR 1815, which includes INR 379 for food. From CSMT Mumbai to Madgaon, the tariff for the executive chair car will cost INR 3360, which includes INR 434 for catering.
