Mumbai Reports 22 New COVID-19 Cases, No New Deaths; Total Cases Reach 11,64,314

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai recorded 22 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the city’s total to 11,64,314.

“However, no new deaths associated with the virus were reported in the city. 19,776 deaths were reported,” according to a BMC bulletin.

Six additional cases of the respiratory ailment had been registered in the city the day before.

According to the bulletin, 309 fresh tests were run in the financial centre, bringing the total number of tests to 1,89,23,501. Following the recovery of 14 more patients the previous day, the total number of recoveries reached 11,44,446.

The local council reported that there are currently 92 COVID-19 cases open in the city.

According to the bulletin, “Mumbai had a 98.3% coronavirus recovery rate, with a 0.0009% increase in cases from August 22 to August 28”.

According to civic data, it takes 69,617 days to double the caseload.

Maharashtra recorded 22 new cases and no reported deaths during this time. On August 29, 2023, most of the people were released, bringing the total number of released patients to 80,21,934.

In the state, recovery rates are 98.18%. The state has a 1.81 percent case fatality rate. Up until now, 81,70,684 laboratory samples (8,74,80,086 total) have tested positively (9.34%) for COVID-19.
