The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has started installing CCTV cameras along the road from the DAV School Sector 10 to Sector 14 in Airoli in response to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Navi Mumbai’s request. Due to increased chain snatching and vehicle thefts, the AAP Navi Mumbai has spoken with the municipal commissioner and Executive Engineer, Sunil Lad, about the necessity for stronger security measures in the neighbourhood.
The delegates of AAP Navi Mumbai raised their worries about the increase in chain snatching and vehicle theft along the road between Airoli sectors 10 and 14. They emphasised the value of placing CCTV cameras to discourage criminal activity and enhance local residents’ safety and security. The party representatives met with the municipal commissioner and Executive Engineer, Sunil Lad, to discuss the situation and demand the installation of CCTV cameras.
Rajesh Narvekar, the commissioner of the NMMC, immediately ordered CCTV cameras to be installed in the area in response to the AAP’s request.
The AAP Navi Mumbai team thanked Commissioner Narvekar and Executive Engineer Mr. Sunil Lad for their prompt response and dedication to addressing the citizens’ security concerns.
Residents of Airoli sectors 10 and 14 should feel significantly more secure and safe due to the installation of CCTV cameras. Potential criminals may be discouraged by the sight of security cameras and may think twice about committing a crime there. The cameras will also offer crucial evidence in the event of any criminal activity, assisting the police in their inquiries and raising the possibility of catching the offenders.
The NMMC’s choice to put CCTV cameras in Airoli sectors 10 and 14 shows how committed the organisation is to guarantee the security and welfare of its people. The NMMC has demonstrated that it is receptive to the community’s requirements and willing to take the required steps to protect its inhabitants by responding to the worries expressed by the AAP Navi Mumbai.
The NMMC is working to increase the safety and security of its citizens, as evidenced, among other things, by installing CCTV cameras in Airoli sectors 10 and 14. To make Navi Mumbai residents’ lives safer, the corporation has also implemented several other steps, such as bettering street lighting and stepping up police patrols.
The AAP Navi Mumbai and the NMMC’s cooperation in resolving security issues in Airoli sectors 10 and 14 prove the value of community participation and the necessity of working together to make the city safer for everyone. The NMMC’s prompt response to the situation and the AAP Navi Mumbai’s proactive attitude in bringing it up serve as an example of how local government and community organisations may collaborate to better the lives of their constituents.
