Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ Breaks Pre-Booking Records, Selling 3 Lakh Tickets in 24 Hours, Dominated Box Office

Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' Roars Past ₹1000 Crore Mark Globally, Sets Sights on ₹600 Crore in India

The pre-booking ticket sales for Shah Rukh Khan’s movie “Jawan” started on Friday morning, and it appears that fans were simply waiting to take their places! The numbers are similar to those of “Pathan’s” first-day data.

Atlee is directing Jawan, which will debut on September 7. The movie, which also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathy, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu, and Priyamani, is about a man who tries to correct injustices in society with the support of women. Sanjay Dutt, Thalapathy Vijay, and Deepika Padukone will all make brief cameos in the film.

According to Sacnilk, “the movie has sold 2.6 lakh tickets for the Hindi showing in 2D and IMAX, while Tamil and Telugu have contributed about 4700 tickets. ‘Jawan’ had sold 271176 seats thus far, netting the film Rs 8.98 crore in advance booking”.

The executive director of the G7 multiplex and Maratha Mandir Cinema, Manoj Desai, announced that Thursday’s performances are already sold out.

Yesterday, more than 40,00 tickets had been sold in the initial two hours. According to the most recent information, 3 lakh tickets were recently sold after just 24 hours, bringing Jawan’s total box office receipts to Rs 10 crore. Up to Rs. 2,400 is being charged for the tickets.

The pre-booking has broken the previous record held by Pathaan, the highest-grossing Bollywood movie in India to date. In comparison, Jawan sold 1,65,000 tickets in 24 hours, while Pathaan sold 1,17,000 at PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis. In the first 24 hours, the Tlee-directed film had the biggest pre-sales of any Bollywood film.

At this rate, Jawan will likely surpass all other Hindi films in terms of box office revenue.

“Jawan’s advance booking has been extraordinary. It has recreated the wave of Pathaan and Gadar 2, as tickets are selling like hot cakes. All shows are full for Thursday, and the weekend is also nearly houseful. Fans of SRK have also booked early morning shows at the Gaiety and Galaxy theatres in Mumbai’s Bandra area. Confirming the same, Manoj Desai added, “Yes, fans have booked the entire theatre for the 6 a.m. shows. The response to Jawan has been blockbuster, but the final verdict will be out on Thursday, when the audiences give their review.”

Jawan reservations beforehand have been extraordinary, according to Manoj Desai, executive director of G7 multiplex and Maratha Mandir, told the press media. Due to the rapid ticket sales, Pathaan as well as Gadar 2 have seen a wave of popularity. On Thursday, every performance is sold out, and the weekend is almost as full.

The day following celebrations at Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, advance booking for the movie started. It was disclosed to SRK at the ceremony that a fan with his family had reserved a whole restaurant so they could meet him and see the Jawan trailer’s enchantment at Dubai’s highest building. SRK waved at them and replied, “Keep the dinner ready. I’m coming there,” feeling touched by the gesture.

“And some wet towels. I need to wash myself, please. Like I’ve told everyone today, this red jacket is unbearably hot. God bless you all and thank you so much,” he said.
