Tragic Accident Claims Man's Life on His 38th Birthday in Mumbai

In life, you never know what awaits you. Nobody knows when joy turns to despair. On Monday, September 18, Kamlesh Singhal was also overjoyed. Since the morning, the house has had a different hue. Kamlesh celebrated his 38th birthday.

On Monday, a 38-year-old man passed away after getting crushed through the front tyre of an 18-wheeled truck on the Wadala-Chembur Link Road.

The children have been organising since the morning to cut his father’s cake for his birthday in an eating place and dine outside. Kamlesh headed to a restaurant with his loved ones to celebrate his special day in the evening. After some time, word of his death arrived.

Kamlesh Singhal lived in the Korba Mithaghar neighbourhood of Wadala, according to Mumbai Police. He met his two pals, Mahendra Panmand and Mahesh Sonawane, after supper with the family. There was a plan to throw a party, so every single one of them went out on a motorcycle and partied while drinking beer. Following this, Kamlesh and Mahendra thought to drop Mahesh at home. The police are tracking the truck’s licence plate and looking for the driver.

“Kamlesh Singhal, 38, a resident of Korba Mithaghar, Wadala, went for dinner with his family on Monday night,” according to the police. After supper, he went out with his pals Mahendra Panmand and Mahesh Sonawane to party and drink. Singhal and Panmand then made the decision to drop a friend. They headed to the Carnival Cinemas IMAX after dropping off their pal.”

According to officials, they both left Mahesh off at his residence and then rode their scooters home. According to an official, the accident happened as his scooter neared the Wadala-Chembur link road.

According to a police officer, “he was taken to the hospital, where he died during treatment.” Mahendra, Kamlesh’s companion, has minor injuries, according to the police. The family was startled when the news of his death reached Kamlesh’s house. Everyone is in horrible shape and weeping.”

The caravan number is being used to track down the driver. The driver has been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

“When they were near Shantinagar, they attempted to overtake an 18-wheeled trailer from the left, but the trailer collided with their vehicle.” Kamlesh, who was riding a pillion, slid from the scooter and landed beneath the trailer’s back tyre’, added the police officer.

“Kamlesh sustained injuries to his thighs, back, and arms and was rushed to Sion Hospital, where he was pronounced dead the next day,” a police official stated. Panmand, Kamlesh’s friend, suffered minor injuries as well.

“The driver was charged under Indian Penal Code sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public route) and 304 A (causing death by negligence), as well as several articles of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988”, an official reported.

On the evening of September 17, the victim had dinner with his close companions and family at a Wadala restaurant. From there, he and one of his pals, Mahendra Panmade, rode their two-wheelers to the place of work for their night shift. According to the rider’s police statement, as they arrived at the Wadala-Chembur Link Road, a large trailer vehicle was around 100 metres ahead of them. Panmade chose to move ahead while the heavy vehicle was going in a lane, but the truck abruptly veered off and crashed into the two-wheeler.

As Singhal collapsed, the caravan rushed by, running over him. “The truck driver did not stop but fled. “Hearing the ruckus, a police van on patrol came to Singhal’s aid and transported him to the Rajawadi Hospital,” Panmade explained. He was declared dead prior to his arrival.

“A case has been filed against the driver under sections 304A (causing death by negligence) and 279 (rash driving) of the Indian Penal Code, as well as Motor Vehicles Act provisions 184 (driving dangerously), 134 (a) (failure to take reasonable steps to secure medical attention for the injured), and 134 (b) (failure to report the circumstances of the occurrence (accident) to a police officer or a police station)”, according to a report.
