Ulhasnagar Metro Station will be called as Sindhu Nagar station on Mumbai Metro Line 5

After years of waiting, the residents of Ulhasnagar have a reason to celebrate as their long-standing demand for a Sindhu Nagar station on the Mumbai Metro Line 5 is finally being fulfilled.

This decision was made by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), which recently announced its plans to extend the Metro Line 5 from Thane to Kalyan and further to Ulhasnagar via Khadakapada.

This news was confirmed by BJP MLA Kumar Ailani during a press conference, bringing joy to the hearts of the people in the region.

Benefits of the Mumbai Metro Line 5 extension:

The extension of Mumbai Metro Line 5 to Ulhasnagar via Khadakapada will have numerous benefits.

Firstly, introducing the Metro service will reduce the traffic problem in the city, which has been a major issue for the residents, especially during peak hours.

Secondly, the Metro will provide a faster and more efficient mode of transportation, making people’s journeys in Mumbai more comfortable.

Lastly, the coming of the Metro will benefit the students who often face difficulties while commuting to educational institutions.

Professor Lal Tanwani has expressed his belief that the Metro will make commuting easier for students, thus enhancing their overall academic performance.

Appointment of a consultant for the project:

The Mumbai Metro Line 5 extension is a 24-km long project that will cost INR 8,416 crores.

To ensure its successful implementation, the appointment of a consultant will be considered, and a proposal has already been prepared.

The project will be undertaken in phases, and the construction of the Ulhasnagar station will commence once the required approvals are in place.

The appointment of a consultant will ensure that the project is executed efficiently and within the designated time frame.

With the introduction of the Metro, Ulhasnagar will have a fast and reliable mode of transportation, which will improve the overall connectivity of the city.

The project will not only benefit the residents but also boost the region’s economy and tourism sector.

It is a step in the right direction toward building a modern, sustainable, and inclusive urban landscape in the region.
