Vasai: Disruptions to local train services as a major block is scheduled

Mumbai Local Train

On the night of June 7 and 8, 2023, Western Railway has scheduled a significant block from 00:45 am to 04:15 am to permit installing a Thick Web Switch at Vasai Road station. Local train services will be severely disrupted as a result of these necessary maintenance tasks, including cancellations, short terminations, and extensions.

Four local trains will be impacted by this obstruction, said a senior officer of Western Railway.

Trains Affected

A local train from Bhayandar to Churchgate that was initially scheduled to leave at 7:52 pm will not run. A Churchgate-Bhayandar local train that was supposed to leave Churchgate at 10:27 pm will also not run.

In addition, a Churchgate-Bhayandar local train that was supposed to leave Churchgate at 11:38 p.m. will short stop at Borivali instead. Passengers on this route will be impacted by this train’s partial cancellation between Borivali and Churchgate.

A Churchgate-Borivali local train that was originally scheduled to leave Churchgate at 11:52 pm would be extended up to Bhayandar to accommodate the situation and offer impacted customers an alternative route.

All customers of Western Railway are urged to make thoughtful travel plans. A WR official informed that the people here are taking the required steps to efficiently perform the maintenance work and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

“The Western Railway apologizes for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the cooperation of passengers during this maintenance period, aimed at ensuring a safer and more efficient rail network for all commuters,” he mentioned further.
