The train was unveiled at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had recently inspected the under-construction orange-themed Vande Bharat Express at the coach factory.

The iconic white and blue hues of Vande Bharat Express have been changed to a new orange-gray theme for this particular train.

While the exterior features a new color scheme, no modifications have been made to the interiors of the train.
The new orange Vande Bharat Express incorporates 25 new improvements, including enhanced safety features and passenger amenities based on passenger feedback.
Specific enhancements include increased reclining angle of seats, optimized cushion hardness, extended footrests for Executive Chair Car seats, improved washbasin depth in toilets, and better accessibility of mobile charging points.
Presently, Indian Railways operates 50 Vande Bharat Express train services on 25 routes. Additionally, ICF is working on designing a sleeper variant of the Vande Bharat Express.
